The Northern District Mini Ring is a portable ring of bells cast by Matthew Higby and owned by the Northern District of Change Ringers.  It is the second mini ring in Ireland, after Christ Church Cathedral which was made in 1998.

The Mini-bells for the Northern District was purchased with an "Awards for All" grant.  The aim of this programme is to fund projects which involve people in their communities bringing them together to enjoy a wide range of arts, sports, heritage, charitable, community, educational, environmental and health related activities. High priority is given to develop activities which are already up and running.

As the mini bells have wheels and are rung in the same way as Church Bells, it is hoped that they can be taken to many Church activities, bringing the art to a wider audience, therefore promoting our art and recruiting new ringers.  We should also be able to ring the bells for weddings etc.

Requests to ring these bells (or requests to have them rung for an event) should be directed to Denise McLean, tel 02891814596 or email denise.mclean@ntlworld.com
